SIU Engineering Day | Intelligent Measurements and Evaluation Laboratory | SIU

Engineering Day in the College of Engineering at SIU Carbondale started in 1981 as part of the National Engineers Week. For the event, we invite area high school students to participate in Mind Game activities sponsored by our registered student organizations. Each activity is designed to challenge students to develop team building and problem solving skills critical to the profession of engineering. This year (2014) 400+ students from 20+ high school students throughout the state came to SIUC to participate in this event. IMEL members and Steve Fults, Chairman of the ASNT St. Louis, participated in this event. They setup the “NDE’ exhibit and gave demo on several NDE methods and educated students about how NDE methods were used to test the integrity of materials and structures.
